Happy New Week Fam.

We are almost about to say goodbye to July 2023. How was it for you? Intense? Boring? A whirlwind? This month flew by fast. Weren't we just singing birthday songs for my son a minute ago? How are we already on the last day of the month?

Either way, I'm thankful because it's been a ridiculously good month. My Kairos discipleship training came to an end last week and my heart is full of gratitude. Y'all, if you see Lady Kemz anywhere, please give her a big hug for me. That woman has been a blessing over the past few weeks. I have gotten answers, clarity, light, and much more.

On the other hand, the FFF mastermind has been giving everything it should give. My Pro-Coach, DDK is visionary brilliance personified. Gosh! Her mind is fascinating. A free-flowing pump of wonder-working wisdom & she's giving it to us back to back.

Alright, let's get into the gist. If you follow me on Facebook, Instagram, or Threads, you'll see where I mentioned how excited I am about an upcoming book launch by a bestselling author and entrepreneur. The last time I was this excited about a book before it was launched was in 2017 and the book was FIREBRAND. DDK's book was a game changer for me spiritually. If you've followed me for a while, you know the gist already. I wrote all about it here.

I have a feeling that this book will have a similar effect but in a different area of my life. The buildup, hype, and anticipation for this book are palpable and I've picked up some bestselling author secrets that I want to share with you.

Be a long-term-thinking visionary.

I started this year with a sense of urgency for my next book. I genuinely thought that I was going to release the book this year, but as I wrote, I started feeling otherwise. My pace was slower than usual, my mind was going in multiple directions and then one thought kept coming back to me.

“Ugonne, you'll release this book in 2025."

I genuinely struggled with the idea at first because I wrote my first book in four months. Yeah! 4 months! So why on earth should the next book take me 2 whole years? Shouldn't my writing abilities be more robust and faster now?

But God started to open my eyes to some of the people I follow and what they’ve done or currently doing the same. One of them is Alex Hormozi.

Alex is an American entrepreneur and the CEO of Acquisition.com, a business with a portfolio of 16 companies that generates $200,000,000 per year. He released the book, $100M Offers and it has sold over 300,000 copies from word of mouth alone

As soon as he launched the book to the world, he started working on his next book, $100M Leads which will be launched next month. That’s a visionary right there. The ability to think long-term is the ultimate trait of a visionary and that is who we are.

If you are reading this right now, this is your reminder that you are indeed a visionary and you have what it takes to see far. You must start to think long-term.

This is who we are because we are made in the image of a visionary God. Think about it. As at the time, Adam and Eve were behaving anyhow in the garden, God had a bulletproof plan to redeem man.

Many consider this the first prophecy about Jesus Christ. Do you know how many years there were between Adam and Jesus? 4000 years! Ha! It doesn't get any more visionary than that. If you're a child of God, this is in your DNA. We are here for the long haul and we must start to think in legacy terms.

What is the two/five/ten-year plan for your life? family? business? Vision?

Understanding this gave me the assurance that this is the direction to take with my next book project. I'm happy to announce that I'm already working on my next book. It will be released on May 11th, 2025 by God's grace. And guess what? That day is both my Birthday and Mother's Day. #wild.

Be truly generous

The word “free” is so common online but true generosity is rare. When I say be generous, I don't mean to simply give. I mean the ability to provide something valuable to others. To be generous is to intentionally strive to enhance the life of the person/people you give to. True generosity is hard work. This is something I have seen with Alex Hormozi's content and everything that has his name on it. They are so good and almost all free. As ridiculously good as his first book was, it sold for just 99 cents.

This book launch is a perfect example. The level of intention, attention, strategy, and generosity has just been mind-blowing. You can see that this person is someone that genuinely gives. I'm not quite sure, but I think he's planning to give the book out for free for those that will be live on that day along with other fantastic bonuses. You shouldn’t miss this event. What am I saying? That free PDF, webinar, or course that you intend to use as a lead magnet , can you make it a little bit more valuable for your audience? I'm saying that whenever you create something, whether it's free or paid, let it reek of goodwill, excellence, and generosity. Sow good seeds at every opportunity you get.

Build a great product. Write a great book.

Alex Hormozi's first book has sold over 430,000 copies in the last two years. It has over 15,000 5-star reviews on Amazon. And this was mostly word of mouth. No Ads. No Influencer marketing. Just your good old recommendations doing all the work.

Think about that. I believe that the single most important reason why is that he wrote a good book. People will always recommend a great product, service, or experience.

When I made the decision to write the book, the birthing, I knew that my writing skills needed an upgrade. As this was my first time doing it, I decided to invest in a book-writing coach and I'm so glad I did. Even though this was my first book, I wanted it to be excellent. I wanted to build a great product. That single desire led me to also invest in the best publishing house in Africa, Worital. Did it cost me a lot? You bet. But I believe that anything worth doing is worth doing well. Maybe that’s why I’ve been able to sell almost 150 printed copies with my small audience and little or no marketing. This is asides from Ebooks and Amazon.

Invest in your work. Deliver excellently. Be so good you can’t be ignored. This is how we grow, transform, and create intentional change in the world.
